Note: Due to travel we are not podcasting this week and our messages may not be published daily or be of the same length or style as usual. We are having difficulty with our computer/internet connection. Working on only one computer we also find proofing and formatting difficult since we usually each work on a separate computer at the same time.
Today we will share several photos from our visit to Cape Ann yesterday, along with a link to a previous daily encouragement based on a prompting concerning a Scripture text when we saw the first photo below.
When we passed this house yesterday near Gloucester, MA
a teaching of our Lord came to mind.
Can you recall which one? (See Matthew 7:24-27
If you care to read a message on this text see here
for a previous encouragement titled “When Strong Winds Blow”
How many realize this saying on the Fisherman’s statue in Gloucester MA is a portion of a Scripture text? (See Psalm 107:23)

(If you’ve ever wondered what to do with spent paintbrushes here’s an idea.)
Today we will be visiting in Boston and expect to see some friends, including the very first recipients of this email encouragement ministry which began in 1996. We hope to share a regular message on Wednesday!
Be encouraged today,

“Only Jesus Can Heal This Hurting World” Video Gordon Mote I heard this song yesterday and it really touched my heart and seems so appropriate with all the tragic news of our day.

We want to thank all who financially support our ministry. We realize there are many fine ministries and causes requesting support but if the Lord would lead you we surely need and appreciate the financial support from our readers and listeners. Our ministry labor is comprised of half our time to Daily Encouragement and the other half to our chaplaincy ministry to companies for which we receive a fee (of course this percentage of time varies week by week). Each of these ministries essentially is the same as a part-time job (20+ hours weekly) for each of us. Our goal for many years is that each phase would provide half of our ministry expenses and income. If you would like to make a donation to our ministry see here
for more information. Donations through my chaplaincy endorsing ministry are tax deductible and will be receipted directly by them. Thank you!
Please Note: Our chaplain agency is unable to provide a receipt if the donation is made through PayPal. However we provide this option due to the convenience, international supporters, and for those who may not be concerned regarding receiving an official receipt. Click here to donate using PayPal.
