“For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:10). “If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city” (Hebrews 11:15,16). “For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come” (Hebrews 13:14). “And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Revelation 21:2).
