“God’s Unshakable Kingdom”

Hebrews 12:28

“See that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused Him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject Him who warns from heaven. At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, ‘Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’ This phrase, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” (Hebrews 12:25-28).

Message summary: Today we encourage each reader to keep this perspective: We are receiving this eternal kingdom that cannot be shaken! It’s an absolute certainty. So “let us be thankful, and let us worship God acceptably with reverence and awe!”

“What’s Your Motivation?”

Matthew 9:36

“It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. (Philippians 1:15-18).“When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them” (Matthew 9:36).

Message summary: What motivates you? Do we see people through eyes of compassion? God has strategically placed us where we are and exposed us to opportunities where we can be His hands extended reaching out to the oppressed.

“The God Of All Comfort”

2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him” (Acts 8:2). “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God” (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).

Message summary: Today, may those of you impacted by situations that “make no sense” find great peace in these words from the apostle Paul: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God” (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). He is indeed “the God of all comfort”.

“Honoring God”

“But you, Belshazzar, his (Nebuchadnezzar’s) son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this. Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from His temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in His hand your life and all your ways” (Daniel 5:22,23).

Message summary: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Am I honoring the God who holds in His hand my life and all my ways?

“Victory Ahead”

1 Corinthians 15:57

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

“Not The Only One Left!”

“I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, broken down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too” (1 Kings 19:14). “Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel–all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him” (1 Kings 19:18). “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11).

Message summary: Today we encourage you to resist yet another sorry excuse many use to justify disobedience to God. You are not alone in standing up for God and doing right.

“Let Us Be Steadfast!”

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Message summary: We will face many bumps along the road of life. Christians are certainly not immune to having these bumps and regardless of how big or small, they can be discouraging. Consider how often discouragement is based on the sense of futility in life and in our service for the Lord. Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, tells us it’s “not in vain”. But do you know that? I hope so. Keep pressing on. Serving. Loving. Showing the light of Christ to a dark, often unreceptive world. Your work counts for all eternity! Let us be steadfast!

“The Peril Of Artificial Intelligence”

“But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge” (Daniel 12:4). Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD” (Hosea 6:3). “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:9-10).

Message summary: Let us stay faithful to God and His established plan for our lives and pursue our knowledge of God above all!

“A Vital Warning For All”

Prone to wander

Oh, to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy grace, Lord, like a fetter, bind my wan-d’ring heart to Thee:
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; prone to leave the God I love.
Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it; seal it for Thy courts above.

“See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God” (Hebrews 3:12).

Message summary: We ignore warnings to our own peril, whether it be the many modern warnings to keep us safer or the ancient warnings in Holy Scripture.
